Job title: Investment Banking Analyst
Direct report: Vice President, Investment Banking
Job purpose:
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain operating, valuation and transaction models.
- Value companies using appropriate valuation methods.
- Assist in conducting financial due diligence, including review of financial statements, filings, information requests and
the data room. - Draft teasers, information memoranda, prospectuses, offer documents and management presentations.
- Prepare pitch books and proposals covering transaction rationale, structure, valuation and process.
- Screen listed and unlisted companies for capital markets opportunities and maintain an up-to-date pipeline.
- Manage the transaction timetable and ensure deliverables are submitted to clients and regulators on time.
- Coordinate with lawyers, auditors, and other service providers on live mandates.
- Monitor market, macroeconomic and regulatory developments across Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa.
- Apply the firm’s compliance and confidentiality procedures and maintain complete deal files.

Job profile:
Qualification:
Basic:
- A first degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering or a related quantitative
discipline. - At least two years in investment banking, capital markets, corporate finance, transaction
advisory or equity research. - Financial modelling and valuation in Excel from first principles, with the accounting
knowledge to interrogate a set of financial statements. - Clear written and spoken English, and client-quality output in PowerPoint and Word.
- Accuracy under deadline pressure across several mandates at once.
Preferred:
- A completed capital markets or advisory transaction in Ghana or the wider region.
- Progress towards the CFA, ACCA or ICAG.
- The Ghana Stock Exchange securities course certificate.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, LSEG or S&P Capital IQ.
