Job purpose:
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of transaction execution, including IPOs, private placements, rights issues, bond offerings, and M&A transactions.
- Supervise the preparation of high-quality pitch books, information memoranda, prospectuses, and management presentations.
- Oversee and perform financial modelling, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable, precedent transactions), and scenario testing.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients during live transactions, providing regular updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Support senior bankers in origination efforts by preparing pitches and identifying new business opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Guide, mentor, and train junior analysts/associates in financial analysis, presentation skills, and transaction execution.
- Conduct in-depth research and analyze market, industry, and regulatory trends to provide actionable insights that support origination and strategic decision-making.

Skills Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, deal structuring, and strong knowledge of capital markets and corporate finance.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in using Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, compelling deliverables for clients and stakeholders.
- Proven capability to build and sustain trusted relationships with C-suite executives, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Skilled in mentoring junior team members, demonstrating emotional intelligence, and thriving under pressure while managing competing priorities.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–7 years’ proven experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related field, with demonstrable deal execution across ECM, DCM, or M&A.
- CFA designation (in progress or completed) highly desirable, GISI-CISI or Ghana Stock Exchange certification is required
